SRINAGAR: An unidentified dead body was recovered near the new power grid station in the Ompora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Thursday.
Officials said the body was found by locals near a shop and appeared to be decomposed. The police were informed without delay.
A police team reached the location and took the body into custody. A preliminary investigation has been initiated to establish the identity of the deceased and the cause of death. Further details will be shared as they become available. (JKNS)
