The subscribers of state owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited have complained that mobile phone services as well as internet services remain affected from the last three days in this South Kashmir district. While the officials maintain that the fault is at Srinagar, the subscribers allege that the service provider is taking them for a ride.

“The problem remains at Srinagar. We don’t have any problem here,” a BSNL official told Kashmir Life.

However, the subscribers, mostly the business people allege that the company is not serious in setting the problem right. “The mobile internet services of BSNL are not running since Sunday. I am frustrated due to the poor services of the BSNL,” said a tour operator, Khurshid Illahie.

Another subscriber, Bilal Ahmad said that the BSNL authorities are taking the subscribers for a ride. “It is irony that the BSNL authorities have not been able to set the fault right during last three days. Our repeated requests to the officials for restoration of services have failed to bear any fruit. For last three days they have been telling us that the problem is at Srinagar,” Bilal told Kashmir Life.

Trader Shabir Ahmad said that the BSNL is the ‘worst’ cellular service provider of all the cellular companies operating in valley. “If the company does not improve its services it will have to wind up very soon from the valley,” he said.
