SRINAGAR: In an overnight burglary attempt, thieves tried to steal cash from an ATM machine in Arreh village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam, officials said on Tuesday.
An official said that the thieves used a cutter in an attempt to loot money from the ATM but failed. “The ATM has been damaged to some extent, but the cash is safe,” the official added.
He said that the police have taken cognisance of the incident, and an investigation has commenced.
“A forensic team is collecting samples, and CCTV footage is also being examined,” he added. (KNO)
