Burglars Strike Editor’s House

SRINAGAR

The burglars during the intervening night of Aug 25 and 26 barged into the house of a Kashmir based Newspaper editor and decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees.

According to GNS, the burglars entered into the house of Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, (former Chief Engineer) who is Editor-in-Chief of Daily ‘Mirror of Kashmir’ and President of Jammu and Kashmir Press Association, here in Hyderpora area of uptown Srinagar.

“During the dead of night, the burglars stole a generator, two gas cylinders and two ‘Samavaars’ from my house’s premises at Lane 1, Ibrahim Colony,” Kaloo said.

Kaloo said the burglars didn’t stop here and barged into house of his neighbor, Abdul Rashid Duloo, who is a Chartered Accountant, and stole two more gas cylinders.

Meanwhile, a police official said that a case has been registered and investigations have been taken up. A team of police officials led by SHO Police Station Saddar inspected the site and collected evidence of the event.
