Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir on Monday termed the statement of Union Home Minister as “highly provocative”.

“Indian security agencies are engaged in the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiri people and the statement of Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh has added fuel to the fire wherein it has been said that the violence would not be tolerated at any cost and every protection would be provided to Amarnath Yatris and Kashmiri pundits,” Jama’at-e-Islami J&K said in a statement this afternoon.

“This statement is quite misleading and tantamount to giving free license to the Indian security agencies to use unbridled force against the civilian Kashmiris. Actually neither there is any danger to the Yatris nor do Kashmiri Pandits face any security problem. Instead of understanding the ground realities, issuance of threatening statements cannot terrorize the brave Kashmiris,” the statement said.

“Advising” Home Minister to understand the facts and “maintain his credibility”, JeI said, “In fact the property and lives of the people are at stake at the hands of the Indian forces and so far more than thirty precious human lives have been lost and hundreds of innocent youth seriously injured by these unruly forces. The injured are under treatment in different hospitals in pitiful conditions. The puppet state government, on the one hand, gives veiled threats to the people to maintain peace but on the other hand, has utterly failed to control the terror unleashed by the Indian forces upon the hapless people. At certain places, the injured and attendants accompanying them were dragged out of the ambulances by these merciless personnel and severely tortured on the ground with the result that a number of such youth are lying in hospitals for treatment. At some other places, these forces personnel entered the civilian houses and indiscriminately fired tear gas shells and bullets upon the inmates resulting in the serious injuries to a number of people including some women and children who are under treatment in various hospitals.”

The statement said that one such victim is a four year girl child named Zohra of Qamarwari lying in the emergency ward of SMHS Hospital Srinagar and crying with acute pain. “This way the Indian forces have crossed all the limits of barbarity and tyranny left behind by Changez Khan.”

Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir (JeI) while expressing deep sorrow over the silence of the world bodies over this “serious situation”, the statement said, “stressed upon them to take immediate notice of it and adopt effective measures to stop the vicious game of genocide of Kashmiri Muslims being played by India.”

Meanwhile, Ameer-e-Jama’at Khwaja Ghulam Muhammad Bhat while considering this situation as most “crucial” expressed deep concern over it and vehemently condemned the “atrocious methods of Indian security forces”.

He also expressed his deep sympathy and solidarity with the Kashmiri people and those bereaved families whose near and dear ones were killed in cold blood and the injured youth.

In this regard, the statement said, Ameer-e-Jama’at issued directions to the district heads of Jama’at-e-Islami to arrange all kind of relief and necessary drugs for the injured youth lying in various hospitals and also organize blood donation camps for providing free blood to the needy.

He also urged district Jama’at Srinagar to extend its relief work already going on in Barzulla, JVC and Soura hospitals to the remaining medical institutes of Srinagar too so that no injured person feel any kind of helplessness.

Further, the statement said, he offered great tributes to the brave Kashmiri people for showing their steadfastness regarding their just cause despite various odds and tribulations.
