Over a dozen civilians were injured when forces opened fire in South Kashmir’s Tral town.

A newspaper report said that a group of youths attacked a CRPF camp at Ladiyar Tral when CRPF men opened the fire.

“Three of the 16 wounded persons were removed to Srinagar hospitals whereas others are being treated in nearby hospitals,” the report said.

Meanwhile local reports coming from North Kashmir’s Kupwara said that intense clashes are going on in Kralpora area of the district.

“Stone pelting and tear gassing started at 11:30 AM,” a cop said, “there is no let up since then and over a dozen cops were injured.”

He said that majority of the injuries were inflicted on reinforcements brought to the area.
