Two young men injured in the ongoing clashes down south Kashmir are critical. They have been identified as Danish and Mashooq Ahmad, both from Kokernag belt, the area in which the Friday encounter took place that led to the killing of Burhan and his two aides.
“Danish has received a bullet in his head,” a police officer, privy to the development said. “He is being operated upon.”
“Mashooq has received a serious injury in his abdomen and is currently on the ventilator,” the officer said. “Both of them are alive right now.”
Speaking to Kashmir Life unofficially, doctors said Danish’s condition was pretty critical. He has been finally declared dead. Danish had received injuries in Achabal.
Efforts to get the exact details from SKIMS authorities failed. Dr Farooq Ahmad Jan, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital did not pick the phone.
