The Islamabad Assembly constituency seat which fell vacant following the demise of the former chief minister, J&K will witness bypolls in May, the Election Commission announced today.
PDP leader Sayeed had died in harness as the chief minister on January 7 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi where he was undergoing treatment for pneumonia.
The notification for the bypolls will be issued on April 22, while counting will take place on May 19.
