In a significant move the Jammu and Kashmir government Wednesday put a ban on the re-employment of officials and officers for future in the state.

The decision in this regard was taken by the state cabinet which met here this morning. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.

Sources said that the cabinet directed the General Administration Department (GAD) not to entertain any such proposal and further direct the line Departments also not to submit any such re employment proposal.

The cabinet also approved the creation of staff for the proposed J&K Heritage Conservation & Preservation Authority (JKHCPA).
