SRINAGAR
Ongoing indefinite strike by Patwaris and Girdawars across Jammu & Kashmir entered into 17th day Wednesday.
The strike is being observed under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association in support of the demands, including removal of pay anomalies with retrospective effect, stoppage of direct recruitment of Naib Tehsildar, relaxation in PSGA, enhancement of PSC examination chances from four to eight, establishment of departmental enquiry cell, transparency in transfer policy etc.
The Patwaris and Girdawars of Jammu and Kashmir assemble on daily basis in Jammu and Srinagar and hold demonstration in support of their demands.
