SRINAGAR: The Indian embassy in Cambodia on Saturday issued a fresh avisory for Indian nationals, asking them to avoid travelling to the Cambodia-Thailand border areas due to ongoing clashes between the two Southeast Asian nations.

“In view of the ongoing clashes at the Cambodia-Thailand border, Indian nationals are advised to avoid traveling to the border areas,” the embassy posted on X.
The embassy, located in Cambodia’s capital, Phnom Penh, also shared emergency contact information for Indian nationals. “In case of any emergency, Indian nationals may approach the Embassy of India, Phnom Penh at +855 92881676,” it said.
Clashes between Cambodia and Thailand continued for a third day on Saturday. Cambodia’s defence ministry reported that 13 people had died in the fighting so far, which includes eight civilians and five soldiers, and said 71 others were wounded, news agency AFP reported.
