SRINAGAR: In a fresh blow to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Sarwar Mufti, cousin of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti joined the Apni Party in Srinagar on Saturday.
The induction took place in the presence of Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari.
Sarwar, once a long-time PDP member, briefly joined the Democratic Progressive Azad Party in November 2023 before returning to PDP. His latest shift is seen as a significant setback for PDP, which struggled in the 2024 polls, securing just three seats. (KNO)
