Police said they have lodged an FIR against a constable Zahoor Hussain of IR 13th Bn posted at Baiwah Kunzar, Baramulla. He was found un-authorisedly loitering around the house of Farooq Ahmad Dar in Aadipora, Tangmarg late last night, after he had an altercation with Dar.
A spokesman of the police said a girl, whose name was not revealed, had reportedly called the said constable to Aadipora. The girl objected to the altercation between her brother-in-law Farooq Ahmad Dar and Zahoor Hussain. The said girl reportedly consumed some poison and was rushed to a nearby hospital where from she was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment. The doctors declared her brought dead.
Later, police registered the case FIR number 24/2014 under section 457,376,511 and 306 RPC in Police Station Kunzar and taken up the investigations. Hussain has been arrested.
