The counter insurgent forces on Monday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Bankoot village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Reports said that a joint team of army, CRPF, and special operations group of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off Bankoot village.
The search operation in the area was going on, however, it was not immediately known whether the area was seized following the inputs regarding the militants or it was a routine check.
