After CET, it is CAPD scam. Crime Branch (CB) authorities raided the Awantipora Godowns of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) and found 10 thousand quintals of rice missing from there. The CB authorities sealed the Godown and registered a case in this regard. The raids continued till late evening.

Reliable sources revealed to Kashmir Life that Crime Branch sleuths had received a number of complaints about the alleged bungling in the Awantipora Godown of CAPD from some time and its authorities raided the Godown, on Thursday.

“10 thousand quintals of rice was mysteriously found missing from the Godown and the responsible people present there could not convince the CB authorities about it,” sources said.

Smelling rat, the CB authorities immediately sealed a particular portion of the Godown and took hold of necessary official records.

Crime Branch sources said that a case was immediately registered in this regard.

They added that preliminary investigation proves bungling on a very large scale and some officials are likely to be questioned before framing charges against the accused.
