SRINAGAR: A joint team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from Chandigarh and Srinagar are carrying out a search operation at the office of Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Secretary of Labour and Employment Development, located in the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.
Quoting sources, news gatherer KDC reported that the raid is part of an ongoing investigation into a corruption case registered under FIR No. RC0512025S0003.
The case has been filed under Section 5(2) read with 5(1)(e) of the Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, Svt. 2006, and Section 109 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC).
Raids were underway when the reports last came in. More details awaited.
