In response to a question by jailed MP Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, informed the Lok Sabha that no such proposal is under consideration.

MP Rashid has been in Tihar Jail since 2019 after his arrest by the NIA under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with a 2017 terror funding case.

A Delhi court on Monday rejected his plea seeking custody parole to attend the ongoing Parliament session. (KNO)
