Chairman State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) Tuesday directed authorities to submit all the details about four Kashmiri detainees languishing in Srinagar Central Jail.
The Chairman SHRC Justice (Retd) Bilal Ahmed Nazki passed these directions after visiting Srinagar Central Jail on Tuesday.
“Nazki took on spot cognizance of four cases related to Shakeel Ahmed son of Ghulam Qadir of Fathekadal Srinagar, Irshad Ahmed Khan son of Muhammad Shafi of Khanyar Srinagar, Abdul Rashid Lone son of Ali Muhammad of Tailbal Srinagar, and Muhammad Maqbool Langoo son of Abdul Aziz of Nowpora Srinagar who were in custody because of the orders passed by the Tehsildars of their concerned areas under section 107, 151, 109 CRPC.”
Justice (Retd) Nazki while passing the orders, directed these concerned Tehsildars to produce the all the records pertaining to these detainees personally before the Commission on 23 December this month.
