Chattabal gunfight: Police says killed militants were planning a major attack

Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday said the militants killed in a gunfight with the forces in Chattabal area of Srinagar were planning to carry out some major attack.

In a statement, police said: “On the basis of materials recovered it is assessed that this group was intending to carry out some major terror attack.”

Police also claimed to have recovered of AK 47 rifles, magazines, UBGL grenades, wire cutter, medical kit and matrix sheets from the three killed militants.
