Chenab Valley shuts against persecution of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar

To lodge their protest against persecution of killings of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar, various parts of Chenab Valley including Bhaderwah, Banihal, Bhalessa and Kishtwar on Friday observed a complete shutdown.

The call for shutdown was given by respective Masjid Committees, Seerat Committees including Anjuman Islamia Bhaderwah.

A protest rally was also taken out in Bhaderwah. President Anjuman Islamia Pervaiz Ahmed Sheikh addressing the rally appealed Islamic countries and UNO to intervene and force Aung San Sui Kyi led Burma government to stop persecution of Rohingya Muslims.

He also castigated Muslim countries for maintaining silence over the grave issue and hailed the efforts of Iran and Turkey.

Strict security arrangements were made by the local administration in all parts of the Chenab valley to avoid any untoward incident.
