SRINAGAR: Chevening Scholarships are available for one-year master’s degrees at UK universities. The deadline for submissions is November 7, 2023.

Eligibility for Chevening Scholarships requires applicants to have citizenship of a nation or area that qualifies for Chevening. After the award has expired, candidates must go back to their home country for a minimum of two years. By the time candidates submit their application, they should have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will allow them to secure acceptance into a postgraduate study at a UK university. This is normally similar to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the United Kingdom, however, it may change based on the field of study and university of choice. Applicants must choose three distinct UK master’s degree options and should have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.

Benefits include complete coverage of tuition fees. Candidates will get a flight ticket (economy travel) to and from their home country on a designated path solely for them. An arrival bonus, a fee for a single entrance clearance (visa) application, a stipend for leaving, and a travel supplement allowance. Additionally, a monthly stipend to cover housing and living expenses will be provided but will differ depending on whether the candidates study in or outside of London.

Documents required to apply are valid passport/national ID card, transcripts, and degree certificates from universities. Applications for Chevening Scholarships in the UK will be accepted from September 12, 2023, to November 7, 2023
