On day fourth of ‘Chilai Kalan’, Sun has finally come out increasing the day temperatures in valley.

‘Chilai Kalan’ – the harshest period of winter in Kashmir – starts every 21st December and ends on 31st January.

Speaking to Kashmir Life Director Meteorology Kashmir, Sonam Lotus, said the weather for coming four to five days shall remain ‘dry’.

“There would be sharp dip in the night temperatures and days are going to be sunny,” he said.

‘Chilai Kalan’ is followed by ‘Chilai Khurd’ and with ‘Chil Bacha’ ends winter in Kashmir.
