The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) as per Indian Express Report said Wang Yi is visiting India at the invitation of NSA Doval. During his two-day visit, he is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has already held bilateral talks with the Chinese leader on Monday.

According to Hindustan Times, China has assured India that it will address three key concerns, rare earth fertilisers, and tunnel boring machines. The two sides also discussed trade, connectivity, river data sharing, border trade, pilgrimages, and people-to-people exchanges.

In his opening remarks on Monday, Jaishankar stressed that while differences exist, they must not be allowed to turn into disputes or conflicts. He underlined that Wang Yi’s visit provides both sides an opportunity to review ties and exchange perspectives on regional and global issues.

Wang Yi’s visit comes ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s planned trip to China later this month for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Tianjin.

India-China relations had soured after the 2020 Ladakh standoff, but recent agreements—including new patrolling arrangements along the Line of Actual Control—have eased tensions. Both countries have since taken steps to improve ties, with India repeatedly urging de-escalation along the border.
