SRINAGAR: Search operation continued for the second day on Tuesday to trace a 21-year-old youth who was washed away in a flooded nallah in Karian Rajouri district.
An official said that the youth has been identified as Atif Shah, son of Ashfaq Shah. Officials said he was crossing the nallah on Monday when the water level suddenly increased due to a flash flood, sweeping him away.
Soon after the incident, police, SDRF and locals launched a rescue operation. However, the youth could not be traced. The operation resumed this morning and efforts are on to locate him. (KNC)
