Chowgam killings: JRL calls for shutdown on Monday

The Joint Resistance Leadership today called for a shutdown on Monday against the civilian and militant killings in southern Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

The Hurriyat spokesperson said that JRL has appealed the people of Kashmir to observe a complete shutdown against the killings in south Kashmir.

Earlier five militants were killed in a gunfight between the government forces and militants in Chowgam area of Qazigund in Kulgam. The gunfight began on Friday night; a civilian Rouf Ahmad from Chee village in Islamabad was also killed during the clashes near the gunfight site while many have sustained injuries.
