SRINAGAR: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Wednesday attached a property belonging to former Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) president Dr Mubeen Ahmed Shah in connection with an ongoing investigation into a case registered in 2020.
Quoting official sources the news agency KNT reported that the attached property comprises 12 marlas of land located in the Buchwara area of Srinagar. The action was carried out under FIR No. 07/2020 registered at Police Station CIK after completion of the required legal formalities.
A team of Counter Intelligence Kashmir executed the attachment proceedings in the presence of local revenue officials, who completed the necessary documentation at the site.
Dr Mubeen Ahmed Shah, a prominent industrialist who served as president of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2006 to 2008, has been residing in Malaysia with his family since late 2019.
Officials said the attachment is part of the ongoing investigation and that further legal proceedings in the case will be taken in accordance with law.
