SRINAGAR
Two CISF personnel were attacked by some unknown militants near Naz Crossing in Srinagar. Both of them were critically injured. A police statement said on Monday.
It added that Head constable D Nayak son of Gopi Nath Nayak resident of Hatpora, Orissa succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital, while the other personnel constable Mukesh Kumar son of Sher Singh resident of Bhalwa, Muzaffar-Nagar, UP is being treated in the hospital.
Police said that immediately, after the incident the senior police officers visited the spot and also the hospital. The statement said that Srinagar Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation has been started.
