SRINAGAR
The incessant rains since last night inundated whole Srinagar city.
The roads, lanes and by lanes of all the localities in civil lines and old city are completely drenched.
The pedestrians are facing difficulties to walk on the water logged roads.
Kashmir received intermittent rainfall since Friday last. And the weatherman has predicted that the rains shall continue for two more days.
Reports said that the upper reaches in bringing down the mercury.
Director Meteorology Sonum Lotus told Kashmir Life Srinagar will see be occasional bouts of rainfall for next two days.
While, Met has been “sharp” in updating people about the weather, official machinery from SMC and allied departments seem sleeping.
Kashmir Life contacted three top SMC officials, to know what the department was doing to de-water the Srinagar areas, however, no one was aware about its work, if any.
