A Three-day workshop on basic photography was concluded at Kashmir Government Polytechnic college, Srinagar.

Around 45 Students from various domains took part in this workshop.

Participants appreciated the entire Global Youth Corps (GYC) team for state of art training and facilitation.

A non-profit organization started by youth of Kashmir on voluntarily basis and aims to work for Peace Education, Child Protection, Women-Empowerment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship across Jammu & Kashmir, a statement issued by the NGO claimed.

“In last three days, participants learned how to use DSLR camera and various methods of capturing photographs,” the statement said.

Participants were given workshop completion certificates.

The workshop was facilitated by Global Youth Corps Team, Syed Faisal,(Training-Coordinator), Shah Aadil (Talent & Acquisition Coordinator) and Mubashir Ahmad (Facilitator).

During the closing ceremony Director Operations (Global Youth Corps) Muzamil Maqbool said, that the DSLR camera should be used as a weapon of Peace worldwide. He also discussed the up-coming project of GYC- Rumi centre for Peace, through which youth of J&K will be trained as Peace Ambassadors of Tomorrow.

Guests of Honour, Shaista Shameem (Principal Kashmir Government Polytechnic Srinagar) Aijaz Ahmad Kakroo, HoD I-T, Muneer Ahmad-T P O, gave away certificates to all the participants, the statement said.

Thanking GYC, Shaisata Shameem appreciated encouraged the NGO to organize more such programs which seek to uplift skill development and peace education in the Valley.
