Panic gripped North Kashmir’s Sopore town when a youth was shot dead by unidentified gunman Friday evening.
According to Police spokesperson, the youth was identified as Waseem Mehraj Malla, son of Mehraj-ud-Din Malla, a resident of Krankshivan colony, Sopore.
“A civilian Waseem Mehraj Malla was killed by unidentified gunman,” spokesman told Kashmir Life over phone.
According to reports, Waseem was currently pursuing his post graduate course in Islamic Studies at IUST Awantipora. He was 26.
Police spokesman further said that manhunt has been launched to nab the gunman. Further details are awaited.
