Clashes erupted between protesters and forces at Parray Mohalla in Hajin area of Bandipora district in northern part of Kashmir after forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area.
Reports said that forces have taken Parray Mohalla and Kochak Mohalla of the town under siege.
The operation was jointly launched by army’s 13 RR and SOG after input about the presence of militants in the area, reports said.
According to local sources protesters pelted stones on forces who used tear gas shells to disperse them.
The operation was called off after forces completed the search in the area.
