Clashes erupted between protesters and forces at Lalchowk area of Islamabad district in south Kashmir after forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area.
Reports said that forces have taken Lalchowk area of the town under siege.
The operation was jointly launched by army’s 1 RR and SOG after input about the presence of militants in the area, reports said.
According to local sources, protesters pelted stones on forces who used tear gas shells to disperse them.
