Clashes erupted between youth and forces at Sopore town of Baramulla district on Friday after congregational prayers amid complete shutdown.
The clashes took place shortly after Friday prayers near Jamia Masjid and adjoining localities of Sopore township.
A youth and a freelance photojournalist have suffered injuries in the clashes.
The call for shutdown and sit-in outside UN office has been given by Kashmir’s joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to protest recent civilian killings in the Valley.
