Srinagar: Scores of youth were injured in clashes in Palhalan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
Clashes are on in Palhalan area of the Pattan town. The situation is very tense and forces in large numbers have been deployed in every nook and corner of the village.
“They fired tear gas shells and pellets during which the civilians were injured,” locals said.
“The youth resorted to stone pelting and clashes ensued,” they said.
As already reported, that a 23-year-old youth was hit by pellets when forces opened fire on demonstrators in Palhalan area on Friday morning.
Heavy clashes were going on in the village when last reports came in.
