Police on Tuesday resorted to aerial firing and lobbed tear gas shells to disperse the civilian protesters who were demanding the body of third militant killed in the Bahmnoo area of Pulwama district.
The said the militant is believed to be a resident of Reasi.
Reports said that a large number of people of Shopian and Pulwama districts staged massive protests near the District Police Lines Pulwama, demanding the body of the third militant killed in Bahmnoo encounter.
They said that several protesters sustained injuries in police action on the protesters among whom one youth was referred to Srinagar for treatment.
