Clashes erupted between forces and protesters in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district on Monday after forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation.
Reports said that forces after specific information about the presence of militants cordoned off some villages in Qaimoh and started search operation. However, locals hit the streets and pelted stones on them.
Forces resorted to tear smoke shelling against stone pelting protesters, reports said.
