Clashes erupted near the encounter site between the government forces and youth on Monday in Drabgam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that hundreds of youth assembled near the encounter site in Drabgam village shouting pro-freedom and anti-government slogans, triggering massive clashes.
Earlier a gunfight raged between militants and forces in the village after a search operation was launched in the area.
Clashes were going on when reports last came in.
