Family of a class 7 student from southern district of Islamabad on Tuesday alleged that the paramilitary CRPF forces roughed him up while he was on way to school.

Family of Fozaan Fayaz, resident of Sarnal Islamabad alleged that while he was on way to school, CRPF personnel stationed near Sarnal stopped him without any reason and later beat him up. The family alleged that the troopers also tore apart his clothes.

“It was only after the nearby shopkeepers intervened that the forces let him free,” said his brother, while speaking to Kashmir Life.

The family alleged that Fozaan has received some internal injuries and is disturbed by the incident.

The family said that they went to lodge a formal complaint against the CRPF troopers in the police station Sherbagh.

“We were denied any receipt for the complaint against the complaint seeking FIR against the CRPF troopers.”

When Kashmir Life contacted Duty Officer Sherbagh, he said that he is yet to come across any such complain.

“I will see if there is any such complaint once I am back to police station.”
