Clear Your Stand: Rasheed tells PDP; ‘Gets invitation from PaK Prez’

Independent MLA representing Langate assembly constituency Er Rasheed Thursday asked Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to come clean on its agenda before government formation.

While addressing Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) workers in Town Hall Kupwara today he said, “PDP needs to clear its stand that why it has stopped talking self-rule.” “It is more important that PDP should tell about its agenda for which people voted them rather when and how it forms the govt. Priority for any government should be resolution of Kashmir issue in a way that satisfies historic dimensions and the sacrifices of Kashmiris.”

Rasheed claimed he may visit Pakistan soon on an invitation from President Pakistan administered Kashmir to attend a two day conference to discuss various issues related to J&K dispute.

He further added, “Kashmiris across both sides of LoC need to understand each other and defeat the designs of those who want to take them for granted in any possible settlement to the dispute. However, it is only possible if leadership of both the sides of Kashmir make a strong and sincere effort to pursued and motivate governments of India and Pakistan to respect the sentiments, aspirations and sacrifices of Kashmiris.”
