Two cloudbursts hit Khrew in South Kashmir’s Pampore area.

Locals informed Kashmir Life that cludbursts hit at two places in the area causing huge damage to vegetable and rice fields.

“Around 5:30pm today, cloudbursts hit Khrew near a temple and another one hit the area near JK Cement factory causing huge flow of water,” a local Amir said. “This caused damage to the fields.”

He added that the area was water logged.

Meanwhile MLA ,Rafiabad, Yawar Dilawar Mir has expressed grief over the massive damages caused to households, fruits  and standing crop due to devastating  cloudburst  and  windstorm that struck   Dalri-Duggar-Pora villages  of   Rafiabad  constituency in District Baramulla the other day .

Consoling  the affected people , Yawar Mir has called upon the  district administration, Baramulla  to depute loss assessment  teams  to  the affected  villages so that  a  case for  relief and compensation  to the victim families  is  processed under  SDRF, an official spokesperson said.

While demanding the free ration to the affected people, Yawar said that the   cloudburst and windstorm have completely damaged standing crops and fruits. He impressed upon the district administration to take cognizance of the plight of affected families who have lost their households and livelihood due to this natural calamity and come to their rescue.
