Dispelling the rumours that flood threat is looming over Srinagar city, the Irrigation and Flood Control department said that everything is normal.
“These are just rumours and people need to be cautious about such misleading things,” Chief Engineer, I&FC Javed Jaffar told Kashmir Life.
Panic gripped city parts after cloudbursts hit Khrew area in the outskirts. Rumours said that the cloudbursts had increased the level of water in Jhelum thus posinf flood threat.
“There is no threat at all; people should be calm,” engineer Jaffar added.
