SRINAGAR: Generally cloudy weather accompanied by light rain, thundershowers and gusty winds was reported from many parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said.
The MeT said a spell of light rain, with light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds was expected at many places on September 28, mainly until late afternoon.
According to the forecast, weather conditions are likely to remain generally dry across J&K from September 29 to October 3.
Partly to generally cloudy weather, with the possibility of light rain, light snow over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places, is expected from October 4 to 6.
The MeT has forecast generally dry weather for October 7 and 8. Partly to generally cloudy conditions, with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places, are likely on October 9 and 10.
In its advisory, the weather department asked farmers to continue harvesting apples, paddy and carrying out other agricultural activities from Tuesday onwards.
Farmers were also advised to ensure safe storage of harvested crops on Monday in view of the expected weather conditions.
