SRINAGAR: The leadership of Jammu and Kashmir, including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, has extended heartfelt greetings to the people on the joyous occasion of Holi.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his felicitation message, highlighted that Holi symbolises happiness, joy, and togetherness. He expressed hope that the festival would strengthen bonds of brotherhood and bring harmony across the region. “The colours of Holi represent the vibrancy of life and the spirit of unity. May this festival fill everyone’s lives with happiness, prosperity, and cheer,” he stated, while also praying for peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also conveyed his best wishes, describing Holi as the “harbinger of joy, hope, and fulfilment.” He noted that the festival, which marks the arrival of spring, is a reflection of India’s rich diversity and vibrant culture. “May this sacred festival of colours bring joy and happiness in society and usher in new hope for a brighter future for all,” he said.
Similarly, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary underscored the festival’s significance in fostering love, joy, and harmony. He expressed optimism that Holi would bring prosperity to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and urged citizens to celebrate the occasion with enthusiasm while strengthening unity among all communities.
