SRINAGAR: The Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns across multiple areas of the Jammu region due to maintenance and upgradation works. The outages will affect several localities on different dates, with interruptions lasting for several hours.
As per the Chief Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL Jammu, the power supply to Akhnoor, Kalakote, and adjoining areas will remain affected on March 16 and 18 from 7 am to 4 pm.
Similarly, Channi, Marheen, Paharpur, Rajbagh, Chandwan, Haria-Chack, Nanan Barnoti, and nearby localities will experience outages on March 15 and 16 from 11 am to 2 pm.
Residents of Kathua town, Hatlimorh, Kalibari, Ludanchak, Janglote, Patel Nagar, Sawan Chak, Shastri Nagar, Chak Pratap, and PHE installations will face power disruptions on March 15 and 17 from 8 am to 2 pm.
Meanwhile, Bani, Bhandhar, and adjoining areas will witness outages on March 15 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Power supply to Billawar, Mandi, Dewal, Pranalla, Tandi, Macheedi, Bhaddu, Kudethar, and adjoining areas will remain suspended on March 16, 18, 20, and 22 from 9 am to 2 pm.
Similarly, Industrial Units including CTM, MD Enterprises, and Knit Fab will experience power shutdowns on March 16 from 9 am to 1 pm.
The power supply to Sidhra, Janipur, Jhajjarkotli, and nearby areas will be interrupted on March 15 and 16 from 8 am to 6 pm.
Likewise, residents in Transport Nagar, Railway Station, and surrounding areas will experience outages on March 15 from 10 am to 1 pm, while Bahu Fort and adjoining areas will face a power cut on March 16 from 10 am to 1 pm.
Additionally, the power supply to areas fed from BB-II and Samba Grid Station will remain affected on March 16 from 7 am to 10 am.
Consumers in the affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions and make alternative arrangements during the scheduled power shutdown periods.
