Chief Minister Mebooba Mufti broke down in an indoor meeting held exclusively with the PDP workers of Islamabad constituency, saying, “If my father has left any property for me that is my worker.”

The meeting was held in Dak Banglow at Khanabal on Monday afternoon to review by poll preparations in the PDP camp. No worker from other constituencies was allowed in the meeting.

According to the insiders, Mehbooba Mufti asked workers to stay vigilant and not to get diverted by the covert policies being run against the party.

“I am here to carry the mission of my father ahead; the promises made with you will be fulfilled. My father left while saying that he was unable to give his workers what they deserved,” Mehbooba said , according to a party insider who was present at the meeting.

Mehbooba also confessed her reluctance to contest the By Polls of Islamabad.

“I was not willing to contest the election, but due to the decision of party seniors and keeping in view aspirations of our workers I decided to contest,” she confessed.

Adding, “It is now your responsibility to save my honor. To win is not my mission here but to win by a great margin is my mission and that you have to uphold and make possible by your dedication and efforts.”

While justifying the alliance with the BJP she told workers that, “You are well aware of the situation that the poll results presented and it was the only constructive option left before my father.”

According to the insiders, “CM was very emotional and was looking upset.”

She has also asked workers not get distracted by the work of different elements that are “working to disrupt the peace.”

The posters and other activities asking people to refrain from poll process, is the handiwork of our rivals and you should understand this and not panic.

She was accompanied by, her Uncle, PDP General Secretary, Sartaj Madni; Abdul Rahman Veeri, Minister for Public works and Parliamentary affairs besides other office bearers of PDP.
