Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
The meeting took place amid controversy over the Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution, a constitutional provision that bars outsiders from owning property in the state. The CM has reportedly told the Prime Minister that to sustain the idea of India, it will have to accomodate the idea of Kashmir as well.
On Thursday, CM Mehbooba also met Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Reports said that CM met Modi to seek his support in defending Article-35-A.
