SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar to speed up the implementation of key announcements made in Budget 2026–27, with a focus on ensuring timely delivery of welfare schemes across Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting assessed the progress of various developmental projects and welfare initiatives announced in the budget. The Chief Minister directed concerned departments to strictly adhere to set timelines and ensure effective on-ground execution.
The Deputy Chief Minister, members of the Council of Ministers, the Chief Secretary, the Advisor to the Chief Minister, and all Administrative Secretaries attended the meeting.
Omar Abdullah emphasised the need for close inter-departmental coordination to achieve tangible outcomes and maximise public benefit. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparent governance and efficient service delivery, stressing that all schemes must reach intended beneficiaries without delay.
