The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. in Srinagar. While the official agenda has not yet been circulated, the Cabinet is expected to deliberate on key governance issues, routine administrative matters and a range of policy proposals, according to official sources.

The meeting has attracted attention following speculation about changes in the Cabinet, particularly after remarks made by the Chief Minister earlier this month.

Ahead of the National Conference’s statehood protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on July 20, Omar Abdullah had told a local news channel that the long-awaited Cabinet expansion or reshuffle could take place either before the protest or shortly afterwards.

No official announcement has been made so far regarding any expansion or reshuffle, and the government has not indicated whether the issue will figure in the August 4 Cabinet meeting.
