SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday announced key allocations and reforms while presenting the J&K Budget in the Assembly.
Omar Abdullah announced during the budget session 2025 that the government is committed to upholding journalists’ freedom and will take steps to support and revive press clubs in Jammu and Srinagar, along with providing dedicated spaces for journalists.
He proposed zero stamp duty on property transfers to blood relatives, offering financial relief to families.
The budget includes Rs 815 crore for agriculture and Rs 390 crore for tourism development, emphasising economic growth.
Additionally, Rs 10 crore has been allocated for the construction of six new helipads across Jammu and Kashmir to improve connectivity in remote areas. (JKNS)
