Speaking outside the Legislative Assembly in Jammu, he said the removal of security from the ‘Nawai Subh’ office raised serious concerns, especially as it came weeks after an incident involving NC president Farooq Abdullah.

Omar Abdullah noted that instead of scaling down protection, authorities should have considered strengthening security arrangements following the earlier episode. He questioned the rationale behind the decision, pointing out that Farooq Abdullah regularly visits the party office multiple times a week.

The Chief Minister added that the timing and necessity of the withdrawal remained unclear and sought further clarity on the security arrangements.
